Dr. Abdul Ghafoor
Abdul Ghafoor Abbasi received his MSc (Computer Science) in 2002 and M. S. (Network Technologies) from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in 2004. He earned his PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden in 2011. He has more than seven years of teaching, research and development experience. He is the main architect of SAGE platform and CryptoNET. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), NUST, Islamabad. Before joining the NUST, he served as a faculty member (2002-2004), F. G. Postgraduate College, and KUST, Pakistan (2004-2006). He also designated as IT Manager at KUST to design and deploy high speed educational network sponsored by HEC. He is also working as a Security Consultant in SETECS, Inc. USA and working on secure financial and cloud applications. He has published number of research papers and scientific articles in international Journals and Conferences. He is also member of the reviewing board of several reputed journals. His research interest includes Secure Technologies, Security Protocols, Secure Cloud Computing, Smart/SIM Cards based secure applications, Web Security and secure applications form smart phones. He is an active member of KTH-SecLab Sweden, Information Security and Distributed Computing Group SEECS, IEEE Graduate Student, Stockholm Research Association, and IPID, Sweden.
